Related Vocational Instruction (RVI) is a program designed to support students with disabilities enrolled in a Career & Technology program. The goal is to provide these students with job entry skills at the completion of their Career & Technology experience at Baldwin High School. The goal of the RVI specialist is to provide resource assistance to students with disabilities served under the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA). RVI students raise money by participating in a school-based enterprise. We raise money for leadership conferences by selling Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, designing wreaths and floral arrangements for the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, and selling ice cream. Also, the money is used to support our biggest community project which is Relay for Life. Money is also given to the Atlanta Children’s Hospital and is used to pay for the vocational banquet in February. One of Baldwin High RVI student serves as the Region VI Representative which is a huge honor. We attend Spring Leadership Conference at Jekyll Island in the Spring where students enter competitions. This year, we are participating in Sam’s Voice, a domestic violence awareness program, the Will Robinson Memorial Run, the Milledgeville Christmas Parade in addition to Relay for Life.
