An Association of Marketing Students

(DECA) is an association of marketing students.  Participation in the local, state, and national DECA organization provides students with many challenging and exciting opportunities—all designed for professional career development.  Leadership experiences, personal recognition, and the opportunity to contribute valuable services to local community are available through membership in this highly recognized and acclaimed professional organization.

Being an active member of DECA is a good way to better your leadership skills, further your knowledge of all types of marketing, and meet new people. In the fall, DECA members are given the opportunity to attend a Fall leadership conference in Atlanta, where you are able to participate in workshops about leadership. Also in the spring, we compete at regional, state, and national level. Its not all work and no play, we have DECA night with the hawks and DECA night with the Thrashers which is a great opportunity to learn about Careers in Sports marketing. DECA is the proud club that runs the Tomahawk School Store during the lunch on Tuesdays and Fridays. We also sell ice cream on Tuesdays and Fridays in the commons area. We have a spring fundraiser for Relay for life is a fashion show, which is organized by the 3rd block marketing class and DECA member.
