Midway is Proud of All of Our Students!

Dy'lon Rayford, a Kindergarten student at Midway Elementary, threw the opening pitch for the Georgia College and State University Bobcat Baseball team to raise money for his Macon Miracle League team. He raised over $400 to help build a bathroom facility on his field for his teammates to use. Midway was 13WMAZ’s Spotlight School for the month of December. Midway was recognized for using innovative strategies to increase student learning.

First-grade teacher, Mandy Hopkins,was awarded a grant by Tri-County EMC. The grant written by Mrs. Hopkins explained how interactive technology will enhance her students' learning.

Spotlight School

The Educational Technology Center at Macon State College presented a certificate recognizing Midway as their Spotlight School for January.

The Macon ETC will also help showcase technology being used in Rachel Adams's 5th grade classroom at the March 9, Capitol Tech in Atlanta.
